U.S.-based Superior Industries Inc. has recently completed the design and manufacturing work on what it considers to be the world’s largest telescopic radial stacking conveyor.
The brand-new TeleStacker Conveyor model measures 48 inches wide by 210 feet long (1,220 millimeters x 64 meters). The conveyor is capable of building 425,000 ton stockpiles, which exceeds a previous model that the company had supplied to a frac sand operation in Texas.
Superior said operators will take advantage of the conveyor’s PilePro Automation. The user-friendly system automatically controls the stacker’s actions while building partially or fully-desegregated stockpiles. Some popular features include pile volume reporting, maintenance triggers and diagnostics screens.
This year marks 25 years of Superior manufacturing the TeleStacker Conveyor. During that time, the conveyor has earned a reputation as the best tool for defeating costly material segregation while bulk stockpiling. Superior said it manufactures about a dozen standard sizes and is always willing to customize every inch of the conveyor for premiere performance in any application.
